＊ a fifth of ~ は前回の one in five ~ と同じ意味。
(2) ...from Latin America.：Latin の発音

Hello.
I'm going to write this comment in English.
First I have to make a cofession.
I listened to this quiz twice.
My answers were
1. A siss of the world
2. from Latin America
First one was so difficult for me.
And second one was not I think.
But to tell the truth I was not cofident of the spelling of Latin.
By the way I started to enjoy pod cast, so I was able to listen to this program so easy.

You got the 1st one wrong and the 2nd one right.
As for the 1st, You mixed up "fifth" with "siss". I guess you can't help it in a way because "fifth" is not frequently used or heard.
But it's still important to know "a fifth" means 1/5 in English.
